**5th September** at the **Cathedral of Butare Catholic Diocese**.

**About Bishop-Elect John Bosco Ntagungira:**

Born on April 3, 1964, in Kigali, Bishop-Elect Ntagungira has dedicated his life to the service of the Church. He was ordained a priest on August 1, 1993, after completing his philosophical and theological studies at the Major Seminary of Nyakibanda. He furthered his education by obtaining a PhD in Canon Law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.

Throughout his priesthood, Bishop-Elect Ntagungira has served in various capacities, including as the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Kigali, President of the Diocesan Commission for Missions and Ecumenism, and Prefect of Studies at the Minor Seminary of Ndera.

He has also been the Parish Priest at Regina Pacis Parish in Remera, Kigali, and an official at the Inter-diocesan Ecclesiastical Tribunal of Kigali.We look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with you as we welcome Bishop-Elect Ntagungira to his new role in the Butare Diocese.
