Founded in 2010, Catholic University of Rwanda is a private higher education institution located in the large city of Butare (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Southern Province. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Rwanda, Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) is a coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion.
