During the closing ceremony of a diocesan program focused on healing, unity, reconciliation, and resilience, Bishop Yohani Bosiko Ntagungira delivered a heartfelt message to participants. He praised their courage and commitment, acknowledging the effort they made to seek inner freedom and spiritual renewal.

“You have shown determination and bravery,” he said, “because you know where you want to go—toward liberation.”

Mgr Ntagungira reminded the faithful that the Church’s mission is to bring people together, to reconcile hearts with one another and with God. He then commissioned the participants to become messengers of hope.

“There are still many people whose hearts remain bound, who haven’t yet begun this journey,” he said. “Go and tell them the Church is waiting for them, with open arms.”

He emphasized that asking for forgiveness and offering it can bring deep healing, restoring relationships and renewing lives.

The bishop’s message was both a blessing and a challenge: to continue the work of healing beyond the ceremony, and to extend compassion to those still in pain.
