Catholic Diocese of Butare

The Diocese of Butare is honored and proud to be a part of a program in connection with the Catholic community in the Chicagoland area (United States). Several schools and parishes have “adopted” schools and churches in Butare. As a result, they share a special bond, helping to support each other through monetary gifts, volunteer work, and prayers. The children in the schools often communicate with each other as classroom pen-pals. If you are interested in having your parish or school sponsor a school in Butare, please contact us.
